Campus Access During Commencement Week Ceremonies

At the conclusion of the Columbia College Class Day ceremony (Tuesday, May 20), the University will be reconfiguring campus from individual school ceremonies to University Commencement. This involves the removal of tents on South Lawns and setting up seating on College Walk and throughout lower campus.

South Lawn north-south pathways from Butler Library to College Walk will remain closed, as will Centennial Walk immediately south of College Walk. In addition, during the evening hours, all three College Walk east-west pathways will be closed to complete seating setup for University Commencement. During this period, the Butler Library east-west pathway will be available. Consider alternate routes outside the campus gates during this time.

As a reminder, on University Commencement Day (Wednesday, May 21), there are various restrictions in place campus-wide from 6:00 a.m. until approximately 2:00 p.m.

Please contact us at [email protected] if you encounter disruptions to accessible routes or if you have any questions concerning access during this time. We appreciate your understanding.
