Service Rates

Columbia University Operations provides many services at no direct cost to academic and administrative departments, including basic custodial, maintenance/repair of public spaces and Registrar-managed classrooms.

There are some supplemental services for which a fee is charged to recover costs, including:

• Repair or maintenance of department-managed spaces
• Supplementary custodial service
• Special event services

Chargeable Services

Chargeable services are billed at an hourly rate, plus the cost of materials. A table of these rates is included below to help provide a general sense of cost.

Please keep in mind that the actual cost for any service request will depend on several factors, including the amount of time and associated materials required to complete the job.  There is a one-hour minimum labor charge for all jobs.
