The Events Administration Office can assist with furniture, tents, and equipment rentals for campus events. Event planners can consult the furniture and tent rental ratesfor commonly used items as a general guide, but do not consider these figures exact for the purposes of your event. All rental requests can be submitted to the Events Administration Office through the online service request form.
Basic furniture rental requests for small scale events must be submitted at least three business days in advance of the event date. Large scale events requiring tents and staging require advanced notice and planning to allow time for any applicable permitting fees. Event planners should contact Events Administration as early as possible in the planning process.
Tenting of Lawns and Hardscapes
Tents on lawns may require event decking at the discretion of the Grounds Department. Event planners are responsible for all material and labor necessary to return the reserved space to its original condition after lawn usage. Tenting on campus may require a permit. In those instances, additional costs may apply to cover NYC Department of Buildings fees for which there is a minimum four-week lead time to procure.
