Routine Grounds Maintenance
Routine maintenance services performed by the Grounds Department include gardening and horticulture, litter and waste removal, general maintenance, and outdoor space management. Routine grounds maintenance is a common cost (non-chargeable) service.

- Implement Master Plan for the restoration and maintenance of the University's green spaces, including selection, installation and upkeep of:
- Trees
- Shrubs
- Flowers
- Bulbs
- Ground Covers
- Lawns (See "Turf Blankets" for information about winter lawn protection)
- Implement plant healthcare programs, to include:
- Fertilization
- Soil Amendments
- Pest and Disease Control
- Maintain all trees, shrubs, lawns and planting beds throughout the campus and its immediate surroundings.
- Maintain all outdoor irrigation systems.
- Implement Master Plan for the restoration and maintenance of the University's green spaces, including selection, installation and upkeep of:

- Sidewalks
- Walkways
- Paths
- Stairways
- Entrances
- Courtyards
- Green Spaces
- Empty and maintain all outdoor recycling and trash receptacles.
- Remove "wet" (non-recyclable) waste from outdoor trash receptacles.
- Coordinate all scheduled and special pick-ups of waste compactors and containers.
- Any special waste removal that is not part of normal routine may also be chargeable to the client.

- Remove snow/ice from all campus and perimeter sidewalks.

- Evaluate conditions of South Lawns and indicate availability based on conditions (with green and red flags).
- Schedule the use of other lawns and outdoor space for student activities and special events. Damage to lawns during special events may be chargeable.
- All outdoor events are chargeable to the client, charges vary based on size, location, duration of the event.
