A Day of Learning and Fun: Take Your Child to Work Day at the Manhattanville Campus

May 03, 2019

Children of Facilities and Operations employees accompanied their parents to work for the second annual Take Your Child to Work Day at the Manhattanville Campus on April 25.

The event provided an opportunity for children to explore their respective parent’s role at Columbia with tours of The Forum and the Central Energy Plant control room.  A visit to the Jerome L. Greene Science Center allowed children to discover more about the brain through hands-on activities led by the Mortimer B. Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute’s education team.  In addition, the day included a visit from by Columbia Athletics mascot Roaree the Lion, a Family Feud style trivia game, and a gift bag upon leaving.

Nearly 20 children ranging from ages 4 to 12 years old attended the informative and fun-filled event.
