As part of regular grounds maintenance, Facilities and Operations will be replacing several cherry trees along College Walk with new cherry trees. This proactive measure – taken in consultation with professional arborists – will help promote the vibrance and continued long-term health and stability of the trees, while enhancing the visual appeal of the iconic campus pathway for seasons to come.
The cherry trees along College Walk near Kent and Hamilton Halls are anticipated to be removed on the weekend of April 26. New trees will be planted in their place by Monday, April 28, pending cooperative weather conditions.
Once planted, the new trees are expected to reach their normal spring bloom in the coming weeks.
