Facilities and Operations conducts periodic surveying of trees on campus in consultation with our professional arborists to inform care plans and ensure safety. Due to recent high winds and precipitation, our Grounds team and arborists surveyed trees along College Walk out of an abundance of caution. As a result of the assessment, the arborist recommended that several trees be removed for safety concerns due to the trees' declining health, including trunk decay and other irreversible conditions.
Three trees on College Walk near Kent Hall and four trees near Pulitzer Hall are being removed, with work anticipated to be complete by end of day on Tuesday, February 18.
